projects

stuff I've built

Card image

Info Website

A custom webpage intending to combine a HTML/CSS project with a passion of mine. It was a unique challenge, allowing me to experiment creatively with code as well as the look and feel from an artistic standpoint.
Built using bootstrap as its core structure.

Python Encryptor

A fun school project aimed at creating an interactive python script that utilizes only the terminal, and text inputs. While the extent of it was a basic substitution encrytion, it ignited a small interest for me in cryptography, and its modern implementations.

Character Builder

The objective was to code a program using all the skills acquired for building applications in Microsoft's .NET framework. I chose to go with a program to build a character for a role-playing game, such as Dungeon & Dragons.

This Very Website

A culmination of my work in web development class - a demonstration of PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and MYSQL, with a small custom database driving the courses section. It was a challenge, yet one I would do again.

Certifications

certifications

My plan for school is to ultimately finish a degree in Computer Information Systems, but initially I was drawn to school by the prospect of receiving a certification in programming. While my education will stretch well passed that initial goal, I am still motivated by that.

Community

engagement

Once I have a meaningful amount of experience under my belt (as well as some meaningful time to do so), I will seek to engage more in the community. As a student, it's easy to forget that forums - such as StackOverflow - is just volunteers helping those with questions. As a future system engineer, I hope to give back to the community, helping the next generation of learners to dive deeper into this new world of technology.
