Props

What's a movie without some backbone? The added material, the moving parts, the little details that make up life should also populate the scenes we make! Props are an incredible tool that give life; even something as simple as grass, or a clothes line moving slightly in the breeze, or a cart of oranges in the market. They create a whole that is greater than the sum of their parts, an atmosphere for the eyeballs, and a necessity for the action to move through or around.

In the world of stop motion, everything is build smaller than real life. Sometimes, the items included in a scene are TINY! And yet, if enough attention to detail is given, it is as believable as any normal-sized item! Props give stop motion its unique expression, since everything is actually real, not just drawn or rendered.
